Alternative Land Use Services (ALUS) Donation
Proposed Motions
1. That Council accept the anonymous donation in the amount of $55,000 to the ALUS Program.
2. That Council approve an amount of up to $45,000 be expended in the 2020 fiscal year; and, that $10,000 be allocated to future budget years.
3. That Council approve a change in funding source for the ALUS program, as follows:
a) reduce ALUS Canada Grant revenue source in the amount of $5,000;
b) reduce funding from Environmental Restricted Surplus by $22,000;
c) reduce WRRP Grant revenue by $23,500; and,
d) increase ACA Grant revenue by $8,700.

Administration supports the proposed motions, as presented in order to eliminate any impact to tax revenue or variances at year end.
Purpose
Parkland County's ALUS program has received an anonymous donation of $55,000. An amount of $45,000 must be spent in the 2020 fiscal year.
Summary
Parkland County's ALUS program has received an anonymous donation of $55,000. The funding is contingent on enrolling 75 acres of marginal farm land into the program and ensuring funds are distributed to local producers to support farm and natural infrastructure within the 2020 fiscal year. In order to meet these requirements adjustments must be made to the previously-approved 2020 ALUS program budget. These adjustments are broken down as follows:
1. add Anonymous Donor revenue source in the amount of $45,000;
2. reduce ALUS Canada Grant revenue source in the amount of $5,000;
3. reduce funding from Environmental Restricted Surplus by $22,000;
4. reduce WRRP Grant revenue by $23,500; and,
5. increase ACA Grant revenue by $8,700.
