Purpose
Council provides final approval on all funding allocations to Not for Profit Groups.
Summary
The Not for Profit organizations that operate within the Hamlet of Wabamun are requesting operating funding for 2021. The Village of Wabamun had a long-standing relationship with community Not for Profit organizations supporting them with financial and in-kind contributions. Traditionally these types of requests would be captured through Parkland County’s NFP grant process however this grant is part of the county budget cycle and the groups included in this request were not eligible to apply at the time. As a result of the dissolution of the Village of Wabamun, a funding gap was created. This one time request will bridge the gap as these organizations transition to the application timelines for all eligible county grant programs. The total sum of the operating requests is $14,687 in funding and up to $1250.00 for the use of the sports park and hall at no charge.
