Proposed Motions
Agricultural Service Board
1. That Councillor McNab and Councillor Jespersen be appointed to the Agricultural Service Board for a one-year term starting October 27, 2026 and ending October 26, 2027.
2. That Councillor Kyle be appointed as the alternate to the Agricultural Service Board for a one-year term starting October 27, 2026 and ending October 26, 2027.
Community Sustainability Committee
3. That Councillor Jespersen and Councillor Doucette be appointed to the Community Sustainability Committee for a one-year term starting October 27, 2026 and ending October 26, 2027.
4. That Councillor Kyle be appointed as the alternate to the Community Sustainability Committee for a one-year term starting October 27, 2026 and ending October 26, 2027.

Administration Recommendation
Administration recommends that Council appoint members the boards and committees as identified in the proposed motions.
Purpose
To appoint members of Council to internal and external boards and committees for the 2026-2027 appointment term in accordance with the applicable governing legislation, bylaws, agreements, and terms of reference.
Summary
Appointments of Council members to internal and external boards and committees are made at the annual organizational meeting. Parkland County's Meeting Procedures Bylaw 2026-07, section 7(5), provides for the appointment of Members of Council to Boards and Committees based on the Mayor's recommendations after consultation with the members of Council prior to the Organizational meeting. The annual appointment process provides Council members with ongoing opportunities to constructively contribute to County and regional boards and committees.
All members of Council are to be appointed to the Emergency Advisory Committee and the Governance and Priorities Committee; Council can be appointed to these committees for the term of Council.
In accordance with the governing agreement, the Mayor serves as Parkland County's representative on the Edmonton Regional Airport Appointers Committee and may be appointed for the term of Council.
Administration will prepare a letter to each board and committee identifying the Council member appointed and the specified term of appointment.
