Proposed Motion
That Council appoint members of Council to the following boards and committees for the term June 1, 2024 to October 22, 2024:
- Council Member Kowalski - Agricultural Service Board
- Council Member Kowalski - Community Sustainability Committee
- Council Member Kucher-Johnson - Alternate Land Use Services (ALUS) Partnership Advisory Committee (PAC)
- Council Member Kucher-Johnson - Heritage Agricultural Society Board of Directors, as alternate member
- Council Member Kobasiuk - Pembina Agricultural and Recreational Society
- Council Member Birnie - Stony Plain Seed Cleaning Association
- Council Member Wiedeman - West Inter Lake District (WILD) Regional Water Services Commission
- Council Member Birnie - West Inter Lake District (WILD) Regional Water Services Commission, as alternate member

Administration Recommendation
Administration supports the appointment of members of Council to boards and committees for the term June 1, 2024 to October 22, 2024.
Purpose
Members of Council are appointed to boards and committees annually at the Organizational Meeting of Council in October. Council Members may be appointed by Council resolution during the ensuing year. Appointing members of Council for the term of June 1, 2024 to October 22, 2024 will ensure representation of Parkland County's interests at boards and committees.
Summary
At the Organizational Meeting held on October 24, 2023 Council appointed members of Council to boards and committees for the year. At the November 28, 2023 Council meeting, Council Member Hoefsloot was authorized, by resolution of Council, to be absent effective December 12, 2023 in accordance with section 174(2) of the Municipal Government Act. To maintain Council presence on boards and committees Council may appoint other members of Council to fill the positions that Council Member Hoefsloot had been appointed to at the October 24, 2023 Organizational Meeting of Council. This will ensure Parkland County's representation at boards and committees that Council Member Hoefsloot had been appointed to are maintained during his absence.
