Administration recommends that Council appoint public members to Parkland County Boards and Committees as presented.
Purpose
To appoint public members to vacant positions on the Parkland County Library Board, Community Sustainability Committee and the Subdivision and Development Appeal Board with the terms commencing January 1, 2026.
Summary
Parkland County's Public Committee Members Policy C-AD26 outlines the process for the appointment of public members to Parkland County Boards and Committees. Parkland County completes two recruitment cycles each year to fill vacancies on Board and Committees. The first recruitment cycles starts in January and is completed by April. The second recruitment cycle starts in August and is completed by December.
Administration advertised vacant Board and Committee positions through newspaper advertisement, the County's website, and social media. The advertisements were active for the months of September and October. On November 7, 2025 interviews were conducted with the following interview panels:
