Proposed Motions
1. That Council direct administration to repurpose $213,972 in Prairies Canada Coal Transition Initiative - Infrastructure Fund (CCTI-IF) and $12,214 in Long-Term Sustainability Restricted Surplus to the new proposed purchases and existing projects identified.
2. That Council direct administration to complete a branding and signage strategy for the Wabamun area, which was previously approved as funding for signage, in the amount of $100,000.

Administration supports the proposed motion.
Purpose
To utilize remaining Prairies Canada Coal Transition Initiative - Infrastructure Fund (CCTI-IF) funding.
Summary
On November 25, 2025, Council suspended work on the Wabamun Water Feature Project and re-purposed $3,965,730 of CCTI-IF Grant Funding.
Administration has re-purposed the funds as directed. Work is anticipated to be completed under budget, resulting in CCTI-IF Grant Funding coming available to be reallocated towards other eligible items. These items fall into two categories: new proposed purchases and existing projects require additional funding, as outlined below.
New proposed purchases:
1. Conditional Assessment for Wabamun Wastewater Force Main $75,000
2. Wabamun Water Distribution System Chlorine Analyzer $9,714
Total $84,714
Existing Projects requiring additional funding:
1. Wabamun Fire Truck $29,173
2. Wabamun Waterfront Park $65,988
3. Wabamun Pier Surface Rehabilitation $28,715
4. Sundance Road $17,595
Total $141,472
The grant agreement requires these funds be expended before March 31, 2026. Administration has confirmed the items listed below will meet the March 31, 2026 deadline.
Administration is also seeking a Council approval to complete a branding and signage strategy for the Wabamun area, in the amount of $100,000. This was previously approved as funding for signage only.
