Proposed Motions

1. That an amount of $10,000 from the Future Operating Restricted Surplus be approved for the Greater Parkland Regional Chamber of Commerce (GPRCC)

2. That administration be directed to include funding allocation for GPRCC Visitor Centre in the 2024 budget for Council's consideration.

Administration supports the Greater Parkland Regional Chamber of Commerce Visitor Services request of $10,000 for calendar year

2023 and will coordinate 2024 Visitor Centre funding as part of the administration budget process.

 

Purpose

That Council approves funding for the Greater Parkland Regional Chamber of Commerce County visitor services.

 

Summary

The Greater Parkland Regional Chamber of Commerce provides Visitor Services/ Tourism regional initiatives supporting Parkland County. Parkland County has previously supported these initiatives.

The Greater Parkland Regional Chamber of Commerce presented to Parkland County in 2023 & 2022.

Council approved on May 24, 2022 an amount up to $10,000 from Future Operating Restricted Surplus, for the Greater Parkland Chamber of Commerce to provide visitor services.
