Administration supports that the Governance and Priorities Committee receives the presentation for information.
Purpose
To advise members of Council on the future EIA expansion plans and potential impacts on Parkland County residents.
Summary
The EIA representatives will present the Noise Exposure Protection (NEF) forecast for future operations. The common interests for all parties being informed is to protect EIA as a regional job generator and economic driver by ensuring 24/7 operations at EIA. Reducing red tape in the handling of AVPA exceptions and communications. Offer zoning clarity in all five municipalities that are part of the AVPA legislation: Leduc County, City of Leduc, Parkland County, Town of Devon, City of Edmonton. Establish mechanisms that will offer effective communications in future
