Title
Municipal Planning Commission Amendment Bylaw No. 2013-25

Proposed Motion(s)
That Council give three readings to Municipal Planning Commission Amendment Bylaw No. 2013-25.

Body
Administration Recommendation(s)
Administration supports the recommendation.

Purpose
To amend the Municipal Planning Commission Bylaw No. 34-2011 to remove the restriction on the maximum number of terms served by public members.

Summary
To ensure that the highest quality of skill and expertise is maintained on Parkland County's public committees and boards and to ensure the greatest amount of flexibility in determining membership, Council has directed Administration to revise all applicable bylaws to enable public members to serve for an unrestricted amount of time.
The Municipal Planning Commission Bylaw No. 34-2011 currently restricts residents at large to be appointed for a maximum of two consecutive full terms. The amendment bylaw removes that restriction.
