Summary

Bylaw 2023-15 received first reading at Parkland County Council on October 10, 2023. In accordance with the Municipal Government Act, Bylaw 2023-15 is being presented to Council for Public Hearing to allow for public comment on the Bylaw.  Following Council's consideration after hearing public comment on Bylaw 2023-15, Council can give Bylaw 2023-15 second and third and final reading.

The Municipal Government Act and Parkland County under the authority granted to them under the Act, govern the public and municipal use of County Lands. County Lands are one of the largest assets, with an approximate value of over 165 million dollars across more than 2000 parcels.  The management of these lands through clear and consistent principals of governance allows Parkland County to preserve these lands for continued use and enjoyment for both the public and future municipal requirements.
