Council to forward the proposed resolution to the Pembina zone meeting.
 
Summary
The recent rat infestation is southern alberta has highlighted the need to ensure adequate resources are allocated to keeping Alberta rat free.  Although the Provincial Government has spent considerable resources controlling this recent outbreak, the incident has emphasized the need for Alberta to be vigilant in keeping Alberta rat free.
 
The proposed resolution emphasizes the need for the Provincial Governemnt to maintain and in fact increase resource levels in the area of rat patrol in the province.  Without adequate resource levels Alberta's status as a rat free Province will be in jeopardy.  The proposed resolution will be brought forward to the Pembina Zone meeting for approval prior to going to the fall AAMD&C convention.
