That Council direct Administration to engage with the Chair (if available) or a member of the Council Compensation Committee to work with Administration to commence a compensation review and provide recommendations that adjust the compensation model for Council.

 

Body

Purpose

It has been identified that it may be appropriate timing to review the Council Compensation Policy that may allow for a more effective model of dealing with Council compensation.  It may be of interest that there are other municipalities that are also reviewing their models at this time, ie: Spruce Grove, Strathcona County, and Sturgeon County.  In doing so, this would require Council direction to go outside of Policy C-AD22 to enter into a review at this time rather than following the plan of reviewing during the year prior to election.
