Provide Council with an opportunity to further review and discuss the report recommendations in detail. Recommend to Council adoption of the report with direction to administration to implement the recommendations.
Summary
Council at their March 4th Governance and Priorities Committee meeting accepted the presentation for information and referred the "Preparing Parkland County's Organization for the Future" report (Organizational Review) to an
upcoming Governance and Priorities Committee meeting for review of recommendations.
In July 2013, Council contracted the RSH Group to perform an Organizational Review of County operations, process and structure, as well, to identify ways in which municipal services can be delivered in the most responsive, efficient and cost effective manner. Parkland County recognizes that there is an opportunity to increase the organization's efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring the best use of staff and municipal resources. Council is committed to best practices. We believe in raising the standard of customer service in delivery of municipal services and providing our staff with guidance and support in creating an enhanced culture of customer service excellence. Council and Management are committed to building a more focused, responsive, resource-conscious and results-oriented organization that communicates effectively and works efficiently across departments.
