Summary

The Woodbend Community Society is a very active Community Association that host many community events and programs, operates a playschool and is often booked solid with rentals.  Although they have a history of being proactive in terms of maintenance and upkeep, the building is starting to show signs of aging.  The community association is proposing to complete numerous renovations to address some infrastructure/safety issues as well as the aesthetics and functionality of the building and exterior at a total cost of $51,903. The Board has been active in fundraising to cover a significant portion of the costs, including an application to the Community Facility Enhancement Program Grant, and are seeking funding assistance in the amount of $13,074 from Parkland County to ensure the project is able to proceed.  Further details are available in the attached Administrative Report and grant application.  If approved, the funding will be included in the 2016 budget.
