Body
Administration Recommendation(s)
Administration supports the recommendations.  One policy (C-AD04) includes the provisions for recognizing and providing gifts for long-service employees and retirees.  Therefore, previous Policy AD 053 - Farewell Procedures for Employees, is no longer required.

Purpose
Revised Policy C-AD04 Long Service Recognition is being brought forward to the Governance & Priorities Committee for discussion.

Summary
Upon review of Policy AD 053 Farewell Procedures for Employees, it was discovered that the procedures outlined within it were either included in Policy HR-021 Employee Long Service Awards (to provide gifts for retirees), or are no longer practiced.  Further to this, the previous practice of recognizing retirees who had at least ten (10) years of service was changed to five (5) years.
