Purpose
The County's Meeting Procedures Bylaw has been reviewed and updated to reflect current practices and provide more clarity, particularly with regards to public presentations and public input.
Summary
Parkland County's Meeting Procedures Bylaw governs meeting procedures for all Council and Council Committee meetings. The current Bylaw No. 13-2011 was approved by Council in September 2011. Over the past number of years, Legislative and Administrative Services has been documenting areas of concern with the bylaw, and has recently conducted a full review. A summary of changes to the bylaw is provided as Attachment 1. Upon passing of Bylaw No. 2015-06, previous Meeting Procedures Bylaw No. 13-2011 will be repealed.
