Purpose
To provide Council with a financial overview of Parkland County and its neighboring municipalities.
Summary
The attached report looks at a variety of best practice financial indicators for Parkland County and its neighboring municipalities. It is important to note that financial indicators are only one factor in identifying the health of a municipality. These indicators should be examined in conjunction with other documents such as the strategic plan, corporate plan, and other information such as infrastructure deficits. Financial indicators can help us assess the general health of a municipality but should not be looked at in isolation.
