Proposed Motion
That Council appoint the following individuals to the Parkland County Library Board for the specified terms, as follows:
1. Councillor Kristine Olson - for the term October 28, 2025 to October 27, 2026.
2. Councillor Sally Kucher Johnson - for the term October 28, 2025 to October 27, 2026.

Administration recommends approval of the motion to confirm Council's appointments to the Parkland County Library Board in the format required by Alberta Municipal Affairs, Public Library Services Branch.
Purpose
To confirm Council's appointments to the Parkland County Library Board in a resolution format required by Alberta Municipal Affairs, Public Library Services Branch.
Summary
At its Organizational Meeting held October 28, 2025, Council appointed Councillor Olson and Councillor Kucher Johnson to the Parkland County Library Board for a one-year term ending at the next Organizational Meeting. Councillor Doucette was also identified as an alternate. Alberta Municipal Affairs, Public Library Services Branch, has subsequently advised that Council member appointments must be provided by separate resolution in a specific format. As the Libraries Act limits Council appointments to two Councillors and does not permit alternates or substitutes, a new resolution is required. The proposed motion identifies the appointment of only two Councillors and omits the appointment of an alternate Councillor.
