Body

Administration Recommendation(s)

Administration supports the proposed motions.

Purpose

To repeal Bylaw No. 02-2007 Parkland County's Safety Codes Services Permit Bylaw.

Summary

Parkland County's current Safety Codes Services Permit Bylaw is both duplicated and overruled by the Provincial Safety Codes Act 2000 being Chapter S-1  Revised Statutes of Alberta last consolidated December 10, 2012 and the Provincial Safety Codes Act, Permit Regulation, Alberta Regulation 204/2007. Therefore Bylaw 02-2007 is obsolete and unnecessary.  It's continued existance is confusing for staff and the department's customers.
