Summary

The Hamlet Reinvestment Strategy has been in development since 2018 with the goal to identify options for investment in hamlets that will improve quality of life, economic development, and operational efficiency. Strategy development included a thorough process with multiple stages of internal and external analysis including: service level assessments, Council committee input, jurisdictional review, review of internal planning documents, service priorities analysis, public phone and online surveys, servicing gap analysis, and financial analysis. The outputs of the project include a number of key takeaways for reinvesting in our small communities, summarized community insight, and high level service adjustment recommendations that include estimated costs where applicable.
