Body
Administration Recommendation(s)
The Executive Committee has reviewed and supports this proposed Resolution.

Purpose
The Road Diversion registered under Plan 461NY (referred to as subject road) has not been in use since 1980 and severs the 64 acre parcel east of Range Road 41 and within NW13-53-4-W5.  The landowner of the parent parcel has requested to purchase the 1.59 acres identified as Road Plan 461NY to consolidate back into the parent parcel.

Summary
Road Plan 461 NY was registered in 1964.  North/South Road Plan 802 0199 replaced the subject road in 1980.  The subject road is no longer in use, has physically been barricaded with guardrail and the approach on the north end has been removed.  The subject road is described in a surveyed road plan and therefore not a statutory road allowance.  Advertising is not necessary.  Consent is required only from any affected landowner.

Should the subject road plan be closed by Resolution, Parkland County would sell the 1.59 acres to the title holders of the parent parcel. Alberta Transportation would then cancel Road Plan 461 NY.  A Market Value Assessment has been conducted by Engineering Services in conjunction and concurrence with Assessment Services.
