Body
Administration Recommendation(s)
Administration believes that these upgrades are necessary for the effective and efficient long term maintenace and upkeep of the facility.

Purpose
Under the terms of the recreation cost share agreement with the City of Spruce Grove, Council may, at its discretion, cost share on capital items at the Horizon Stage.

Summary
The City of Spruce Grove submitted a capital cost share request for three items related to equipment lifecycle plan including a back-up lighting console, audio console and expansion of their wireless communication system.  The total project cost is estimated at $37,000 and they are requesting Parkland County contribute 50% ($18,500) as per our cost share agreement.  Having appropriate technological systems in place ensures they can continue to attract high-quality performers to the region.  It will also help ensure that local groups can continue to host events/performances in the community and not have to host them elsewhere.
