Body

Administration Recommendation

Administration supports the proposed motions.

Purpose

To amend Map 2 of the Land Use Bylaw 20-2009 to redistrict Condominium Plan: 1122441 Unit B; Within Pt: SE-12-53-07-W5M from AGG-Agricultural General District to BRR- Bareland Recreational Resort District.

Summary

Bylaw 2017-21 is the redistricting of Condominium Plan: 1122441 Unit B; Within Pt: SE-12-53-07-W5M.  The proposed redistricting changes the Land Use District of the subject parcel from AGG-Agriculture General District to BRR - Bareland Recreational Resort District.  This will allow for the development of the proposed Phase 5 of Trestle Creek Golf Resort to occur on the parcel, subject to the approval of the Subdivision Authority.

Strategic Plan/Policy/Legal/Staff Implications:

The proposed amendment is consistent with the criteria laid out in Section 3.20 of the Municipal Development Plan Bylaw 37-2007 which provides criteria for Bareland Recreational Resort Development.  The approved Trestle Creek Outline Plan provides enough flexibility to permit this land use change.
