Purpose

The purpose of Bylaw 2024-18 is to designate the subject land as a Public Utility Lot.

Summary

As part of the signed development agreement for the Highlands Business Park Phase 2C, Lot 15, Block 5 was transferred to Parkland County, as described in Article 2.35 (excerpt provided in Attachment 3). Currently, these lands contain a storm water pond and lift station that services Zone 7 in the Acheson Industrial area, and are described as a Public Utility Lot within the development agreement. To meet the requirements of the agreement, these lands must be formally designated as a Public Utility Lot through a bylaw. Administration recommends Council approve Bylaw 2024-18 to designate these lands as a Public Utility Lot.
