Summary
The current set of "Jaws of Life" in Tomahawk were purchased by the volunteer firefighters in 1996. At the time of purchase, they were a reconditioned set and the cost was approximately $5,000. A number of years ago, when the "Jaws of Life" were repaired, it was noticed that the output power was not sufficient. At that time, it was expected that the equipment would be functional until 2016.
