Purpose
To provide an update on the work of the Agricultural Service Board.
Summary
The Agricultural Service Board (ASB) provides advice and recommendations to Council on matters of importance to agricultural producers. This update includes an overview of the ASB's work during Q1 & Q2 of 2026 and provides Council the opportunity to direct the work of the Board throughout the latter half of the year. At minimum one report to Council annually is a requirement for receiving funding from the Government of Alberta under the ASB grant program and is legislated under the Agricultural Service Board Act.The ASB will also discuss progress towards the goals outlined in their 2026-2027 Work Plan.
