Proposed Motion
That Fire Guardians for the year 2018 be appointed as per Attachment 1, pursuant to the provisions of Section 4(2) of the Forest and Prairie Protection Act, Chapter F-19 R.S.A. 2000.

Administration supports the appointment of the people listed in the attachment as Fire Guardians for 2018.
Purpose
Under the Forest and Prairie Protection Act, Parkland County Council shall annually appoint Fire Guardians. Fire Guardians have the authority to issue out burning permits in accordance with the Forest Prairie and Protection Act and Parkland County’s Fire Permit Bylaw
Summary
The Forest and Prairie Protection Act requires that Council, before April 01, appoint a sufficient number of fire guardians to enforce the Act within the boundaries of the County.
