Purpose
To propose changes to the Agricultural Service Board's Terms of Reference.
Summary
The Agricultural Service Board provides advice and recommendations to Council on matters of importance to agricultural producers. Further, the Board is required to meet the provisions of the Agricultural Service Board Act. Appointed public members of the Board also act as the appeal panel for the Alberta Weed Control Act, Agricultural Pests Act, and Soil Conservation Act. The Agricultural Service Board has reviewed their Terms of Reference and is recommending updates to align with Council's Strategic Plan and current operational practices. A list of changes can be reviewed in the attached table.
