Alberta Transportation Bridge Report Highway 16 East of Range Road 42

Proposed Motion
That the Alberta Transportation Bridge Report for Highway 16 east of Range Road 42 be tabled to the scheduled January 24, 2023 Council meeting.

Body
Administration Recommendation
Administration supports the proposed motion to table a presentation to Council pertaining to the Alberta Transportation Bridge Report at Highway 16 east of Range Road 42 to allow administration to receive and review a detailed design report of a pedestrian underpass/wildlife corridor under Highway 16 east of Range Road 42.

Administration was directed by Council to present an updated construction cost estimate, right of way considerations, and additional information on the trail alignment options for the pedestrian underpass/wildlife corridor under Highway 16 east of Range Road 42 by the end of 2022. This information will come in the format of a detailed design report prepared by Alberta Transportation. No commitments beyond the initial $150,000 of Municipal Sustainability initiative (MSI) capital funding have been made nor will they be made without Council's review of the detailed design report and subsequent discussion following review of the report.

At the July 12, 2022 Council meeting, Council made the following motions:
