Proposed Motion
That the revised Not For Profit Organization Grant Funding Program Policy C-RP14 be approved, as presented.

Administration Recommendation
Administration supports the proposed motion as the revised policy aligns with Council's Strategic Plan and budget initiative.

Alternatively, Council may consider the following proposed motion:

To approve the policy as presented with the following amendment "Section 7, b. to now read: "Parkland County Administration will review all grant applications for the Micro and Emergent Minor Capital Repair grant streams and make recommendations to Community Sustainability Committee for final approval. There is no appeal process.”

Alternatively, Council may consider to not revise the current Not For Profit Organization Grant Funding Program Policy C-RP14.

Purpose
Review the policy as per the review schedule and incorporate Council's request for a minor grant stream for NFP’s to access funding dollars for smaller projects with a short turnaround time. The changes in the grant have been budgeted for in the 2023 budget.

Summary
At the December 6, 2022 Governance and Priorities Committee meeting, Committee recommended that Schedule A, Section 1b. be revised to reflect a change "Up to 25%" to now be "Up to 50%". Administration has reflected this change in the proposed revised policy presented

The Not-for-profit Organization Grant Funding policy provides the County a means to distribute County dollars to Not for profit groups (NFP's) that serve Parkland County residents through the provision of recreation, culture and social programming. The current policy has one intake period whereby groups apply in the spring, requests are included in the budget and funding is awarded for the next calendar year.
