Administration Recommendation

Administration supports the proposed motions.

 

Purpose

To align Parkland County's 2025 Fees and Charges Bylaw with the Land Use Bylaw 2025-12 that was passed by Council and which imposes fees and penalties.

 

Summary

Planning & Development Services - Schedule H.2 requires amendments to change the word Family to Detached in alignment with the new Land Use Bylaw.

Planning & Development Services - Schedule H.5 requires amendments to change the word Family to Detached in alignment with the new Land Use Bylaw.

Planning & Development Services - Schedule H.6 requires amendments to remove fees no longer required, and in alignment with the new Land Use Bylaw.

Planning & Development Services - Schedule H.10 to add Penalties for offenses in alignment with the new Land Use Bylaw.

 

Strategic Plan/Policy/Legal/Staff Implications:

MGA s.8(c) requires that fees for permits, licenses and approvals must be established by bylaw.

MGA s.191 provides that the amendment or repeal of a bylaw must be made in the same way as the original bylaw.
