Title: Regional Collaboration Grant Program resolution - Regional ALUS Project Proposed Motions 1. Proposed Motions
1. That Council authorize Administration to participate in an application for the "Regional ALUS" project submitted by the County of Vermilion River under the Regional Collaboration component of the Alberta Municipal Affairs Regional Collaboration Program .

2. That Council designate the County of Vermilion River as the project lead for the "Regional ALUS" project.

Administration Recommendations
Administration recommends that the attached resolution and letter be approved, and forwarded to Alberta Municipal Affairs in support of the "Regional ALUS" project grant application to be jointly submitted to Alberta Municipal Affairs by the Counties of Parkland, Red Deer, and Vermilion River.

Purpose
The resolution and letter to be submitted by Parkland County Council are required for the Regional Collaboration Grant Program funding application for the "Regional ALUS" project being submitted jointly by the Counties of Parkland, Red Deer, and Vermilion River.

Summary
The "Regional ALUS" project grant will support ALUS programs in the 3 applicant municipalities to: (1) research and identify sustainable funding sources for ALUS incentive payments to participating landowners & producers; (2) develop an ALUS best management processes / standard operating practices manual to assist municipalities in implementing ALUS; and (3) help fund the staff costs of ALUS program coordination. County of Vermilion River will assume the project lead role.
