Purpose
The Federal Budget highlights are being presented to Council to provide information on Federal funding direction and priorities.
Summary
The Federal Government released its 2019-20 budget on March 19, 2019. A number of areas were highlighted as priorities, including several with direct implications for Parkland County. These areas are described in the attached presentation, and include infrastructure investment, energy efficiency, coal communities, high-speed internet accessibility, prairie land and water management, and emergency and natural disaster response.
