Proposed Motions
1.  That Council Member Tracey Melnyk be appointed as a Council member to the Gravel Advisory Committee effective May 14, 2013 until October 29, 2013 Council Organizational meeting.
2.  That Council Member Darrell Hollands be appointed as an Alternate Council member to the Gravel Advisory Committee effective May 14, 2013 until October 29, 2013 Council Organization meeting.

Administration Recommendation
Administration supports the Council appoint one Council member and one alternate Council member to the Gravel Advisory Committee effective May 14, 2013 until the October 29, 2013 Council Organizational meeting.  
 
Purpose
In accordance with the Gravel Advisory Committee Terms of Reference, approved at the February 26, 2013 Council meeting, Council will appoint one member and one alternate member to the Gravel Advisory Committee.
 
Summary
The appointment Council members to serve on the Gravel Advisory Committee will allow collaboration with gravel industry and public member representatives to commence the Gravel Advisory Committee as set out in the Terms of Reference.
 
Strategic Plan/Policy/Legal/Staff Implications
The addition of the Gravel Advisory Committee follows Council's direction to engage the public in meaningful dialogue on issues affecting the public.  Furthermore, the Gravel Advisory Committee will enhance public safety and add to the quality of life enjoyed by Parkland County residents.
