Purpose
Parkland County is required to take a number of actions as part of the Modernized Municipal Government Act (MGA).
Summary
Most of the changes contained in three MGA Review amending bills and their associated regulations came into force on October 26, 2017.
Remaining amendments and associated regulations will come into force in phases throughout 2018; however, some compliance deadlines are in 2019 and 2020.
Next Steps
Any areas that indicate “not yet compliant”, “partially compliant” or “direction required” will be addressed through an internal work plan to ensure deadlines are adhered to.
