Body
Administration Recommendation(s)
Administration supports rescinding Bylaw No. 40-2010 as Bylaw No. 36-2011 established the Parkland County Municipal Planning Commission; effectively replaced the Development Authority.

Purpose
With the December 2011 adoption of Bylaw No. 36-2011 which established the Municipal Planning Commission, Bylaw No. 40-2010 is redundant and must be rescinded.

Summary
On December 13, 2011, Council gave three readings to Bylaw No. 36-2011, establishing the Parkland County Municipal Planning Commission.  This Bylaw rescinded Bylaw No. 36-2007 which had established the County's Subdivision Authority, however it did not rescind this Bylaw (40-2010) which had previously established the Development Authority.

With the adoption of Bylaw No. 36-2011, and creation of the new Parkland County Municipal Planning Commission, the Development Authority has been replaced and the founding Bylaw is no longer needed and must be rescinded.
