Purpose
The purpose of Bylaw No. 26-2012 is to impose a local improvement tax towards a local improvement for base course and asphaltic cold mix surfacing within a portion of Central Heights Country Residential Subdivision (Michel Road only).
Summary
This portion of Central Heights Country Residential Subdivision (Michel Road only) is adjacent to Erin Estates Country Residential Subdivision, which was approved in the 2012 budget for asphaltic cold mix surfacing. Due to the location and cost-effectiveness of surfacing Michael Road in conjunction with the surfacing scheduled in Erin Estates, residents along Michel Road are invited to submit a petition to have their road surfaced in accordance with Policy EN001. A successful and valid petition was received to complete the work accordingly. As per Policy the landowners of this portion of Central Heights (Michel Road only) are required to pay 60% of the total cost of the project with the County paying 40% along with the proportionate share of the Local Improvement assessed on any Reserve Lot (s) within this portion of Central Heights.
