Purpose
Administration has completed a servicing study for the WILD Water Line and has examined opportunities to provide water servicing to areas within Parkland County along the new water line, which specifically includes Duffield, Carvel, Fallis and adjacent Country Residential development areas. The study also reviews servicing options to the Hamlet of Entwistle, which is currently outside the limits of construction of the existing WILD water line.
Summary
The West Inter Lake District (WILD) Regional Water Services Commission was created to develop a new water service line. This new service line is expected to provide water services to a number of homes, businesses and communities within its vicinity. Parkland County, as one of the members of the WILD Water Commission, will have a predetermined allocation of water from the line, once it is operational.
The attached study was completed by Parkland County in advance of the water service being available. The study includes the necessary information to properly evaluate the opportunities available in regards to appropriate allocation and distribution of future water servicing, once the project is finalized. The study also includes a review of the potential communities that could receive water services including; Duffield, Carvel, Fallis and other country residential developments as well as the Hamlet of Entwistle which is outside the vicinity of the existing WILD Water line. All of these communities and associated areas fall within near vicinity of the newly constructed water service line.
