Title

Funding Request - Acheson Zone 6 Infrastructure Construction

Proposed Motion

That Council approve $4,500,000 to complete construction of infrastructure within Acheson Zone 6, funded from Debenture Borrowing.

Body

Administration Recommendation

Administration supports the proposed motion.

Purpose

Approval by Council will provide Administration with direction to fund infrastructure construction in Acheson Zone 6.

Summary

In July 2025, Council approved a borrowing bylaw to fund infrastructure development in Acheson Zone 6.

This motion will add funding into the 2026 Capital Budget and provide Administration with the ability to advance construction activities in support of infrastructure investments in Acheson Zone 6. This is aligned with the ongoing industrial servicing within the Ranchlands development area and enabling development south of Highway 16A, east of Highway 60.

The funding allocation will primarily support the construction of a sanitary lift station and is an extension of the improvements completed by Parkland County in 2025 at the intersections along Highway 16A at Spruce Valley Road and at Pinchbeck / Bevington Road.
