Proposed Motion

That administration be directed to restore the informal Fallis boat access located at corner of Beach Road and Township Road 532 to the condition prior to 2015; and, that up to $6,000 from Restricted Surplus - Municipal Park be approved for the restoration project, as presented.

Administration supports the the direction to restore the informal Fallis boat access, as presented.

 

Purpose

To restore the informal Fallis boat access in the amount of up to $6,000 from Restricted Surplus - Municipal Park.  Funding for the restoration project requires approval by Council.

 

Summary

In the spring of 2015, issues resurfaced with regards to the informal boat access point at Fallis due to significant modifications made to the road allowance that were neither carried out by nor approved by Parkland County.  The Administrative Report and supporting documents attached provide a history of the informal boat access, and outlines recent efforts by administration to determine if the concerns are reflective of the community as a whole, and provide information around the potential options including costing and resident feedback.
