Administration Recommendation
Administration supports that the Wabamun Area Vision Report be received for information as this provides members of Council an update to the progress of the Wabamun area developments.
Purpose
To provide information to Council and to inform future development work undertaken in the Hamlet of Wabamun and Wabamun Lake area.
Summary
Effective January 1, 2021 the Village of Wabamun had been dissolved and became a Hamlet of Parkland County in accordance with Ministerial Order 386/2020. Parkland County's initiative was to review, evaluate, and plan for a vision of Wabamun within Parkland County. Planning and Development Services has completed a report to guide future development in the Hamlet of Wabamun and Wabamun Lake area, to be known as the Wabamun Area Vision.
The Wabamun Area Vision Report is submitted to Council for information.
