Body
Administration Recommendation
Administration supports the proposed motion to reallocate remaining ACP grant funding and remaining project budgets for the Wabamun projects identified in attachment number 1.
Purpose
Council approval is required for the reallocation of budget and related grant funding between projects for the ACP grant awarded to Parkland County
Summary
Of the original $950,000 ACP grant funding provided to the County for expenditures in Wabamun, $307,742.93 remained unspent at the end of 2022 and was subsequently budgeted in 2023. Expenditures and commitments in 2023 are $255,858.57, leaving a remaining balance of $51,884.36 that can be reallocated to complete the proposed central utility SCADA station in Wabamun. Under the ACP grant program, the funding is required to be spent by July 2024 or returned.
As shown in Attachment No. 1, funds have been reallocated amongst the various water and sewer infrastructure projects as necessary to complete the projects. The surplus of $98,312.34 under the Wabamun Water project, has been reallocated to the remaining projects included in Attachment No. 1 to ensure all remaining funds are expended under the grant program.
