Purpose
To provide Council with a general update on the Municipal Development Plan Project and an overview of the Stage 2 Public Engagement Summary prior to Stage 3 Engagement.
Summary
Stage 2 Engagement occurred in Winter-Spring 2024. Community feedback was gathered and will be used to inform the new Municipal Development Plan (MDP). The Stage 2 Public Engagement Summary includes:
1. What engagement events occurred and how they were advertised.
2. What participants were asked to do at these events.
3. What the key findings were.
Planning for Stage 3 Engagement is underway. Engagement events will occur in July-August, 2024. A separate What We Heard Report for the County-led engagement that occurred in May-June, 2024 will be presented to Council as information and shared with the public prior to Stage 3 Engagement.
Strategic Plan/Policy/Legal/Staff Implications:
The proposed motion is consistent with the goals of the Parkland County Strategic Plan 2022-2025.
