Body
Administration Recommendation(s)
Administration supports the recommendation to renew the recreational land lease agreements for a term of twenty-five years with the listed community associations.

Purpose
To renew the land lease agreements held with twelve of Parkland County's community associations.

Summary
Of the twenty-eight community associations located within Parkland County, twelve hold land lease agreements with Parkland County for a parcel of municipal land. Those community associations that are not listed above own the land their facilities and amenities are situated on.
In the past, these agreements have been renewed collectively every five years. A major change with this renewal is an extension of the term length of the lease to twenty-five years. This extended period of time will provide an additional sense of security and stability for the community associations and will reduce the administrative resources required for the renewal of these agreements.
The community associations who hold leases with Parkland County have been informed of the proposed changes to the agreements and have had opportunity to provide comment. The feedback received has been in favour of the extended term length.
