That Council appoint the people listed on Attachment 1 as Fire Guardians for the year 2015 pursuant to the provisions of Section 3 (4) of the Forest and Prairie Protection Act, Chapter F-19 R.S.A. 2000

Administration supports the people listed as Fire Guardians for the year 2015, pursuant to the provisions of Section 3 (4) of the Forest and Prairie Protection Act, Chapter F-19 R.S.A. 2000
 
Purpose
The Forest and Prairie Protection Act requires that Council, each year appoint a sufficient number of fire guardians to enforce the Act within the boundaries of the County.
 
Summary
The Forest and Prairie Protection Act requires that Council before April 01 of each year appoint a sufficient number of fire guardians to enforce the Act within the boundaries of the County.  The Forest and Prairie Protection Act is enforced through through the County Fire Permit Bylaw 22-2012.
 
Due to hiring of new staff within Enforcement Services, Fire Guardian Appointments are required for these individuals to carry out their job duties and functions.
