Parkland County Transfer Station Expansion Options

Proposed Motion

That the Parkland County Transfer Station building be expanded to the north and to the south as one project including a second weigh scale for a budgeted amount of $5,700,000 with funding for the project coming from the Waste Management Restricted Surplus.

Body

Administration Recommendation

Administration recommends that the full expansion of the Parkland County Transfer Station (PCTS) be completed in 2016 so the service interruptions to customers due to construction are kept to a minimum and that $476,000 in construction cost will be saved over the staged option.
