Administration is pleased to provide Council with an overview of the Enforcement Services gravel program from January to August 2013.
Purpose
To provide information to Council regarding the Enforcement Services gravel enforcement program from January to end of August 2013.
Summary
There are currently 43 active gravel development permits in Parkland County, another 18 being proposed and a number of gravel pits located in Leduc, Brazeau and Lac Ste Anne Counties, whose truck traffic impact the Provincial Highways and local roads within Parkland. In May 2013 Enforcement Services made some internal changes to better respond to, investigate gravel related issues and enhance service delivery. On June 25, 2013 Council directed Administration to second additional staff to the Gravel Point Officer, and to enter into an Enhanced Policing Agreement with the RCMP Spruce Grove/Stony Plain Detachment.
Parkland County Enforcement Services is pleased to provide hi-lights of the activities so far this year.
