Body

Administration Recommendation

Administration supports that Council Norms and Values Policy C-AD20, Council Orientation Policy C-AD18, and the Code of Conduct for Council and Public Committee Members Policy C-AD21 be rescinded, as presented.

Purpose

Administration reviews Council policies and identifies policies to be rescinded when they are no longer effective.

Summary

Administration presented three policies to be rescinded to the Committee of the Whole on October 6, 2020: the Council Norms and Values Policy C-AD20, the Council Orientation Policy C-AD18, and the Code of Conduct for Council and Public Committee Members Policy C-AD21. Administration identified that Policies C-AD20, C-AD18, and C-AD21 are no longer required as matters within the policies have been since addressed by the Council Code of Conduct Bylaw 2018-05, the Municipal Government Act and the Code of Conduct for Elected Officials Regulation, and the Chief Administrative Officer Bylaw 2014-30.
