Administration Recommendation

Administration supports the proposed motions.

Purpose

The Intermunicipal Development Plan amendment proposes to include supportive language for commercial uses in the Plan Area and for a portion of SE 12-53-6-5 land use to be changed from R- Residential to C- Commercial.

Summary

The amendments proposed under Bylaw 2026-17 would allow for appropriate commercial uses to be supported within the IDP Plan Area boundary. The commercial uses would provide services to the surrounding communities.  The proposed change of land use for a portion of SE 12-53-6-5 is to allow for commercial uses on the current vacant Seba Beach school site. A list of prohibited uses have been included as per discussions between the Summer Village of Seba Beach and Parkland County.
