Proposed Motion

That Council Member appointments to internal Council committees be approved for the 2016/17 term from October 25, 2016 to October 24, 2017, as follows:

 

Economic Diversification Committee:

Council Member Melnyk

Council Member Kobasiuk

 

Community Sustainability Committee:

Council Member Jensen

Council Member McNab

 

Agricultural Service Board

Council Member Hollands

Council Member Kobasiuk  (Alternate)

Administration supports the proposed motion.

 

Purpose

To appoint Council Members to the new internal Council committees.

 

Summary

Council recently reviewed their existing internal Council committees and passed Bylaw 2016-22 adopting a new internal Council committee structure earlier today.  With the passing of Bylaw 2016-22 Council should now appoint the Council Members to the new committees as provided for in each committee's Terms of Reference.  The Council members appointed today will form the individual public member interview committees for each committee and recommend public member appointments to Council for each committee.
